After working as a graphic designer in America and the Netherlands for 23 years, Henk Cornelissen decides in 1988, in addition to his teaching position, to only make autonomous work. Since that year, his fascination for numbers, sequences, structures and coincidence has determined an iron work rhythm, almost manic. According to systems he devised himself and worked out in his sketchbooks, he has now made more than 700 drawings on sheets of 65 × 50 cm. An average of 20 per year. Sometimes only one a month if the idea requires it. A selection of more than 120 works and all sketchbooks are shown on this website, as an introduction to a structured world of COUNCILITY.
