Many of Henk's works originate from his fascination for numbers and quantities. This also applies to this work in which he wants to make 250.000 visible with peat stripes and that must of course be (re)countable. He divides the sheet into 500 rectangles and puts 500 peat stripes in each rectangle, for a total of 250.000.
