9 X HIGH / LOW = YES / NO
2007

Within a grid of overlapping squares (9 horizontal x 7 vertical) parallel lines have been drawn in different directions. The angle of the line is first determined per grid with a rotating object. The die is then used to determine whether yes or no parallel lines are drawn in that skew. The lines are drawn with a so-called roller ruler, always shifted 3mm in relation to each other. Working from top left to bottom right, each box may or may not have lines. In total, this process was repeated 9 times, resulting in the differences in gray values between the grid cells. The overlapping strips in the grid provide further compaction.
