BACKHAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MAX – NOVEMBER 26 2006
This work is made around the birth of grandson Max. First, a square grid with five horizontal lines is drawn, as with musical notation. Four squares on top of each other. Lines and boxes are numbered 1-9. A dice 1-10 determines which box or line gets a dot. The adjacent dots are connected. The vertical stripes are created when the zero is rolled. Two superimposed bars are connected at the beginning and the end. The bottom two bars are connected by a thicker line. These were the two lines that Henk made on November 26, the day his grandson Max was born. The whole thing resembles a written song.
