Henk has made several stamp works. This work is one of a series of works he made with a round rubber stamp. In his sketchbooks he explores several variants. In this work, a die of 1-12 determines how often stamping is done after inking. Henk starts at the top left and works in freely meandering strings of slightly overlapping stamps. He tries to fill the sheet as evenly as possible.
