FEUILLES PAPER À CIGARETTES
2000

This work is also a smoke piece. Henk keeps everything, including the packets of the Mascotte rolling papers. Henk has made several works with this. In the packaging, under the last rolling paper, was this cardboard strip. In the beginning it was brown strips, later green, a change of color. Each strip was first set on fire at the sides and (by itself) extinguished. On the slip, the numbers of rolling papers (read smoked cigarettes) are counted in numbers increasing by 50 (that's how many there were in a pack). A series of three consecutive sheets has been made of this work. This is the second sheet in this series. In 2001 the third and last sheet was made with the final number 32400. Smokepieces were created every time Henk made another attempt to stop smoking.
