Henk cleaned his pen on a sheet next to his work table. This is how circle structures arose over time due to the many strokes with the pen. This work arose from this fact. A block grid was first drawn on the 'cleaning' sheet with pencil. Subsequently, a die is used to determine whether or not a connection is made between the blocks. Within the resulting block shapes, the new strokes are set in a denser intensity without touching the margin. In the whiter spaces in between we see the intensity of the strokes of the original 'cleaning' sheet.
